the show at the independent (SF) this past weekend was great. thanks to all our friends for coming out - and the new souls we met for your kindness and support. it was extraordinarily fun.

spring has arrived and the vista is metaphorically and literally radiant; allergies aside a boundless sense of gravity suspends in the air. the weather was gorgeous on the drive home and certain parts of California are a sight to behold this time of year. watching free range cows eat on green and yellow hills and seeing still ponds provide sanctuary to sunbathing birds can induce you to fantasies of reading a Steinbeck book under a willow tree with homemade wine and a ukulele.

alas this was not our fate.

whilst we drove through the i-152 we thought of stopping, as we usually do, to get some pistachios but opted to keep ahead. We were still smelling of yesterday's news and needed to get home for a little R&R, recovery, and a rehearsal before a nice little hometown show with our kind mates Parson Redheads and Radars to the Sky at the Echo. We hope to celebrate Dane's birthday belatedly this monday! feliz cumpleanos Dane!

all in all, a beautiful weekend drive up the gilded state.
